Our community conduct rules are, boiled down to their base form, simple. Observe common sense, and treat others with basic decency and respect, and you will be welcomed with open arms.Due to themes present in our community (roleplaying of mature themes such as murder and violence, as pirates and their ilk are wont to do), we request that players present be 18 years of age or older.
A less condensed version of our rules, our code of conduct, and what we seek from our community is the following.We expect those who enter our community to treat others, regardless of race, religion, sexual orientation, sexuality, etc. with dignity, respect and kindness. Our community is filled with people from all walks of life, and our staff team has LGBT BIPOC on it. We will not tolerate racism, pedophilia, bigotry or other subjects.We have zero tolerance for harassment of any kind. Fish for fun! Fish for glory! Fish just for the fun of it!The Reel Grande! A bi-annual Freshwater and Saltwater fishing tournament, held to crown the reigning champion of the fishing frenzy -- The Reel Grande Champion!
How do you participate in the reele grand?
Show up to the event! The Reel Grande will have an "Opening Signup" window of the first 15 minutes of the event. You will speak to one of the hosts who have a green "Looking for Party" icon above them!
What are the "fishing mechanics" of the reele grande? How is a winner determined?
Each participant will join a party with one of the hosts!
The fishers will then have a single round of randomized rolls rolled for them by the hosts -- and from a table, will be told what they land!
The participants then take their time enjoying fishing RP! This will continue for three rounds.
After three rounds of rolls, the one(s) with the highest score will land The Big Fish!
In the case of a two-way tie, the tied individuals will have a final set of up to two rolls! If both rolls are tied, there will be TWO Reel Grande Champions!

Activities
- Gift bouquets with special messages! Speak with the partnered florist, Bellista Digrea, to send a bouquet of flowers to your loved one(s). The flowers may be sent with a short message. For the first hour of the ball, the florist will be located at the bottom of the stairs on the flower balcony, to take requests. At the end of the first hour and through the second hour, the florist will deliver the orders.
- Catered dining buffet experience! A spread upstairs is laid out, with warm foods kept to temperature with carefully arranged fire shards and crystals, and cold foods kept safely with ice shards and crystals. Seating is dispersed and more intimately placed to allow friends and couples privacy to speak of their feelings while they enjoy their meal.
- Social mixer and dance! Sit and chat with others, or dance together and mingle. The ballroom downstairs is kept open, with seating arranged to the sides and near the back of the room to keep the floor open for dancers to enjoy. For the social mixer, participants are encouraged to try Two Truths and a Tale to get to know one another better.
- Dance Partner Swap! Those who wish to swap dance partners will be asked to use looking for party after the first hour of the ball. The names of all individuals who are using looking for party during the dancer swap will then be collected and drawn at random. Dancers will be privately given, out of character, the names of their swap-partner and will be given the opportunities to write their "cut-in" dance.
- Vote for the Crowned Royal Couple! At the start of the ball individuals who wish to be named Crowned Royal Couple will be nominated. At end of the third hour, participants of the dance will be asked to "vote" for the Crowned Royal Couple. Canonically there will be a ballot-box upstairs for the voting process. The two (or more, for love comes in all forms) characters who receive the most votes will be voted the Crowned Royal Couple.

- Ocean Water. A refreshing blend of coconut rum, blue curacao, coconut water, and pineapple juice. Poured on ice with gummy fish. A perfect way to beat the heat!
-Salty Dog. Vodka and grapefruit juice shaken and poured over ice in a salt-rimmed glass. Garnished with a grapefruit wedge and spring of fresh rosemary, it's as salty as the sea, and tart for a sour kick.
-Shipwrecked. Coconut and dark rums, melon liqueur and pineapple juice, blended with crushed ice. Garnished with a pineapple wedge and fresh mint, it's a good way to drown your sorrows.
-Sunburn. Tequila, triple sec, and cranberry juice with a lemon twist garnish. It's the enemy of every pale-skinned soul far and wide. But, no worries, this drink won't require sunblock.

Whorl of Charybdis Specialty Drinks
- Qiqirn Firewater. Drink at your own risk! Blended with a medley of fermented and fresh ingredients and fermented in the sun for a sennight, this beverage is not for the faint of heart.. The liquid is an emerald green color. The aroma is harsh -- the alchohol is strong -- but coming through are notes of butter, sugar, fresh cream and.. ..anchovies. Tasting notes are citrusy -- almost like a ponzu sauce, mixed with strong orange and lemon flavors.
- Warmest-wine. Heated beneath O'Ghomoro itself, this highly alcoholic mulled wine is drunk recreationally and medicinally. Whorl of Charybdis holds a special agreement with a member of the Kobolds to have a twice-mulled variety of Warmwine sold at their establishment.
- Aleport Dark Stout. A dark stout sourced in Aleport. It has distinct kukuru and coffee bean notes.
- Gegeruju Estates Select White Wine. White wine made from the green lowland grapes of La Noscea said to have a bold citrus flavor with hints of apple, pear and cinnamon. It is acquired through means that remain confidential and perhaps questionably legal.

1. On the FFXIV Log-In Screen, select, "Data Center."
2. Click on "Oceania."
3. Click Proceed.
4. Wait for FFXIV to show, "Connecting to Materia Data Center."
5. Once FFXIV shows you the list of servers, you have connected to Materia. GO BACK to the Login-In Screen (Press (X) and select your home data center.
6. Select the character you want to DC Visit with, then right click (or open options) and select "VISIT ANOTHER DATA CENTER."
7. Select Materia, Bismarck, then hit confirm.

The story of Puragatory is a long and storied one. Originally hosted on Gilgamesh, it was a haven for pirates and sailors alike, nestled in Shirogane. This sanctuary was also the headquarters of Saints & Sinners, a rag-tag group of pirates with a theme set around the seven deadly sins. It was a successful venture for many, many years. Over time, Saints & Sinners has been in many more places-- Mateus, Balmung, and now Kraken. The group has waxed and waned, and now with a fresh restart, we're hoping to see it grow once again. A safe place for all, LGBTQ+ and POC inclusive.
